2.5* Some spoilers. I'm a bit meh about this book. It was entertaining, it was a quick read and I wasn't bored coz I wanted to keep reading to figure out what was going on. But the characters were a bit flat, and so much was just overly dramatic where it didn't need to be. I mean, the evil twin trope is so cliche, the hypnosis storyline was odd, Michael was all secretive and mysterious where he could have just gone "hey my bro is a bit unhinged, here's why, don't obsess over him, have a nice cruise". Natalie was super obsessed with boys for the whole book in some way or another, which got a bit irritating and it's no wonder her friends were getting a bit frustrated with her. Andh the assault storyline seemed a bit out of place and forced, like it was trying to push some kind of 'girl power' theme but didn't quite work. I didn't hate the book, but after quite enjoying The Leaving by this author I'm a bit underwhelmed by how choppy and average this one is.

This was an amazing book. It was not as much of a thriller as I thought but I thoroughly enjoyed it :)

It was... so weird. But I couldn’t put it down. I read it in about 2 hours and left feeling more confused than when I started. I now also have a headache. Overall not a bad book by any means... just bizarre! I cool concept! Kind of like this review. I’m usually much more eloquent and thoughtful with my reviews, but I truly couldn’t think of anything to say about this one. Will update if something comes to me.

A mystery on a cruise that's a first for me.
To celebrate her 17th birthday Natalie's parents take her and her 3 best friends on a cruise. Hoping that it will also help her get over losing her boyfriend.
Natalie decides to try and have fun for her mother. She meets a guy but there is something mysterious about him. And then he disappears leaving her to think that he jumped off the ship. As she tries to figure out what happened to him she also learns heartbreaking news of one of her best friends.
Secrets come to life and friendship is tested.
A mystery on a cruise that's a new one for me. I think Altebrando wrote the story well the ending did confuse me at first but after re-reading the chapter again I understood why it ended the way it did. YA thriller with twist that will have you turning page after page.

I personally wasn’t impressed. This wasn’t my cup of tea. It was so confusing keeping up with the differences between Ray and Micheal. I’m still confused if Ray is the bad guy or not. xoxo

This was a fun fast read. The mystery wasn’t quite as exciting or intriguing as I was hoping but I still flew through the book. You can tell by my updates that I wasn’t really a fan of any of the characters. The MC, Natalie was such a downer. I mean, I know there are people like this in the world, and I know she kind of had her reasons, but they just don’t make interesting characters to read about. Her friends were jerks, the love interest(s) were jerks, she was kind of a jerk. I stayed engaged the whole time and just kept on reading, which says something. But in the end, the reveal was more like, “Oh, huh, interesting.” Not, “Woah that’s crazy!”
