This is a cute book not so much a romance as trying to find yourself and be happy with your life. Plus lots of books and a library. I love this writing style even though the smut is nonexistent ๐Ÿ˜Œ. I think itโ€™s a fantastic look into a small town world and the much needed diversity that can be added to it.

After reading this book, I want Maggie's life. This is such a warm book to read, it is full of humor and joy, and the characters are so loveable (especially Maggie!) and no matter how you may view them at first, they all grow on you. The author masterfully wove a tale of finding yourself no matter your age or where you are at in life, but also included racial issues relating to classic books, and the lives and tales that have been hidden from the world. The fact that
classics books only being allowed at the bookstore means that there are no poc authors and one of the coowners had no problem with that!!!
Maggie fought to be heard and for the people of the town, she was truly passionate about her newfound job, and it was so inspiring. I want to be like Maggie when I get my life together.

This is a really funny read, and you will come out of this book a better person then you went in.

So cute! So sweet! So lovely!!! What a perfect read to end my year! The first year I'm back to reading as regularly as I used to when I was a kid, before reading was made un-fun. (A black girl discovering her love of books? A black girl trying to figure out what to do with her life? A black girl who says she only read a book if she already watched and liked the movie it was based on? As a cinema major, MOOD!) It has a cheesy sweet Hallmark / Netflix Christmas / romance movie feel, so it's very fun, and all the tropes are so well done! I have no complaints! I wanna buy it and pre-order any and all following books by Shauna Robinson! What a treat!!!

Secret underground book clubs? Wild spins on literary classics? Enemies-to-lovers...but with books? This was just the read I was looking for!

I laughed, sighed, cringed, and cheered.

I am very happy I got around to reading this book. It was full of everything I love and more. I adored Maggie's character (though sometimes I did want to ask her what the heck she was doing!), and I felt that almost every secondary character had an important, supporting role in the plot.

The themed bookish events Maggie hosted are parties that I hope one day I can be invited to (or host myself)!

I am ready to read more of Shauna Robinson's work.
