Diablo by Cora Rose is a MM bodyguard romance with forced proximity from the Unexpected Series. Diablo is the son of a famed mobster and Skylar is a former marine turned personal bodyguard. When Diablo finds himself in danger, his father sends him to a safe house with Skylar to protect him.
Diablo was the biggest brat. He really was something else. He drove me nuts when he was messy and didn't pick up after himself, but it didn't faze Skylar at all. He understood that Diablo was looking for attention, and Skylar was ready to give it to him, and give it to him good.
I loved the banter between Diablo and Skylar, and enjoyed when Diablo pushed Skylar's buttons. There was so much tension, and their chemistry was amazing when they finally gave in. Their relationship was definitely not traditional, but they ended up being perfect for each other.
Cora Rose writes the best characters. She is just so witty, and Diablo does not disappoint!

3 Stars = I enjoyed reading it, but it doesn’t stand out
I didn’t love Diablo or Skylar. It was fun to see them grow into each other though. It was a very different story and relationship overall, I suppose. 2/5 spice levels.
Well, I don’t know what I was expecting from Diablo but Cora blew me away anyways! Brats are NOT my cup-o-tea but Diablo is such a little chaos gremlin that he keeps you thoroughly entertained. Skylar has the patience of a saint, I swear! Their dynamic is definitely interesting but they are clearly made for each other.
I’m excited to see who’s next! Ben? Angelo? ANTHONY? Who am I kidding, I will read literally anything Cora writes lol.
