I love Cora Rose but this was not it for me. She says that this book isn't like the others and that is true. I guess when you have a sociopath as one of the mmc's it's not a typical love story. I just didn't really enjoy either character though and the relationship went from 0-60 without any indication. Her stories are typically a sort of insta interest/lust situation but this one just seemed to come out of nowhere. It just wasn't for me.

I love Cora’s writing so much, but this book just wasn’t it for me… dubious consent is my least favorite trope.

This is peak "turn your brain off and enjoy" so I turned my brain off and enjoyed it very much. :)
Diablo is such a brat!! He obviously is severely flawed and definitely needs a therapist but Cora finds a way for him to be loveable. I felt we didn't get much into Skylar and he was a very one dimensional character. Anywaysssss, banter and spice were top notch. Love a bodyguard forced proximity situation! Super cute ❤️

I have just found Cora’s books after buying her book in the Unlucky 13 series . When I saw this it was the name Diablo that attracted me to it with a name like that it had to be good. Diablo is a first class brat how Skylar was so calm with him at the start was beyond me he drove me crazy with his tantrums and made me laugh as well.

Diablo from the other books sounded like a little shit, and what did I know? I was right. The spanking and him basically always saying the opposite of what he means was funny but I’m sad Skylar never heard I love you. Jesus Diablos father clearly sucks but I like how much he cares about his brother.
Hopefully his brother gets a book. Also the scene with the other guy tying Diablo up for Skylar was a little questionable on consent but he seemed to enjoy it lol.
