Diablo is one heck of a wild ride. This story has the reliable quirkiness and offbeat characters that this author is known for while giving you something a little bit different in tone and subject matter. I really loved the dynamic between bratty Diablo and his stern bodyguard Skyler. They have one unquestionable bond where their limits are put to the test while stuck in hiding together.
I loved how well the brattiness of Diablo's character came through in this story. He is one touch-starved character who is in desperate need of discipline, making Skyler the perfect disciplinarian who is struggling to maintain his boundaries with this incredibly difficult and stubborn charge.
Their relationship is complicated, but I fully understood why both needed each other so desperately. I also loved the forced proximity between these two as they are forced to cohabitate, which creates many hilarious and steamy moments between the two.
Overall Diablo is another wonderfully entertaining entry in this series that never fails to surprise.

Diablo is a brat, but not in an endearing or charming way. His tantrums are so cringy and over the top.
I have enjoyed the rest of the series but cannot handle this MMC for even one more page

Diablo is the biggest brat and made me laugh out loud multiple times! We first met Diablo in Lex, and he intrigued me then. I'm always a fan of bodyguard & forced proximity tropes.
After an incident, Diablo needs a bodyguard, but he’s stubborn and thinks he can take care of himself. While hiding away with his bodyguard, Skylar, an attraction builds between them. Diablo dislikes Skylar and constantly challenges him until it comes to a head, and Skylar can’t take his bratty behavior.
Diablo's defiance and Skylar's efforts to fulfill his needs, including multiple spankings, were fantastic. The forced proximity led to hilarious and steamy moments, adding a "darker" but overall light feel to the book.
The story keeps you intrigued and surprised, with good pacing and steamy scenes. Overall, it's a great read, and I'm excited for Cora Rose's next book.

Finally, we get Diablo's story. Diablo was in Lex's book and ever since, I wanted to know his story.
This book was hilarious because Diablo is short so you know Cora had to put in alot of short jokes. lol
Diablo has a twin named Angelo and when someone hurts him (a rival mobster to his dad) Diablo exposes him and now they are after Diablo. Diablo's dad hires him a bodyguard to take him to different safe houses so he's hard to find and Diablo just doesn't make it easy for Skylar and just acts real bratty.
I just love how Cora writes because the characters are so down to earth and people you would know. Diablo does not do feelings and is so spoiled but mostly because the relationship with his father is that he knows he's loved but it isn't shown or discussed. And because he's spoiled, he needs discipline and that is what Skylar provides. Not only does Diablo get mad but it turns him on!
So this is my top Cora Rose book, but it is still fantastic and funny and I just loved it! I will always recommend Cora's books and she is definitely an auto buy author for me!
