Everything moved too fast. I think I needed more in the beginning to see how they met before jumping into things. I also didn't really care for Allistair. I didn't find him to be believable. This needy insecure guy is a Dom, so to speak? Yeah, I don't buy it.
I'll review more later.

This one was good, and not only that it is the most "spicy" of all, but in the whole story of Allistair I found it interesting, how he gets friends who really love him plus Steve understands him and helps him, can it be my favorite of the series? we will say that yes, I liked the relationship of these two where they already had a history but Allistair wanted more and that Steve also, to see that although in the previous book his character did not call my attention here he shines and I liked it. The two of them were great for each other, the suspense was good, quick to resolve but good at the end of the day.

This book was really good. I loved both of the main characters. I love how the way they end up in a relationship.
I don’t think I’ve ever read a book that so wonderfully combines kink with such a sweet and utterly loving connection between the MC’s. Allistair and Steve are amazing, complex characters and I loved the sexual tension between them and how they just decided to go for it and weren’t afraid to open up to each other. Or rather, they didn’t let their fears stop them.
Part of what makes Allistair such an intriguing character is that he’s powerful and touchingly vulnerable at the same time. Steve and Allistair both defy stereotypes though and have a more feminine, softer side which was incredibly alluring. Yay for the make-up and lace! I loved the power exchange between them, with the caring aspect of the relationship very much going both ways.
Steve is very protective of Allistair and has reason to be so, because his lover is in danger, which brings an added layer of tension to the story. I also really liked how the book fit into the series and the way Allistair finds his place with Steve’s friends. Seeing him trying to befriend Brett was adorable.
Great read! Romantic and super hot!

I didn't like the book, but the sex scenes were hot, so it wasn't a complete waste of time. Plus. manties and corsets. Manties and corsets, you guys.

this story is one of those stories that i knew i would love from the first page. i started reading it and absolutely could not put it down. it had me from the first line of the book. it's like ms. knight reached into my brain (and heart) and pulled out a story she absolutely knew i would love.
while steve is in a job that leaves him with super heavy emotions that need to be taken care of by allistair and his heavy hand, it's allistair that is the more broken of the two. steve is a big bad, ex-military swat team member that absolutely gives up all control to allistair and trusts allistair to take total care of him. allistair is a bit of a mess that really needs to learn how to live in the real world. there is very little build up between the two so we don't have to wait to get to the good stuff. there is so much emotion between them and they are so good for each other, bringing out the best in each other. i absolutely loved their love story.
the angst and 'suspense' part of the story was subdued and not overly dramatic. it was perfect for the story. we got to see a little bit of past characters and meet a couple new ones that i can't wait to read about.
overall this is another great book in a great series that i highly recommend.

I found Allistair and Steve’s story to be a sweet and engaging read Allistair may have tons of money but it can’t buy him the one thing that he truly wants: love. When Steve enters his life Allistair finds that love is not bought it is earned. Steve is the one man who does not want anything to do with Allistair’s money, all he wants is Allistair. The two feel their way through the rough times and find a way to the good times. Along the way there are bumps and bruises but their love is strong. I enjoyed watching their relationship take shape. This story encompasses not only Allistair and Steve’s relationship but we also get to see into the rest of their lives and even some of their friend’s lives. I enjoyed meeting Cole and would love to have his story told.
