The loose monochrome illustration style made it difficult to tell the characters apart. This was an intriguing story that ultimately didn’t pan out for me. I learned about the anti Filipino sentiment in California in the 20th century.

The first Rina Ayuyang graphic novel I've actually enjoyed. Fast-paced, suspenseful, and a good look at what life was/could be like for the Manong/Manang Generation under a noir setting.
