This is one of the best books I've read in a long time. I had trouble sleeping because I was thinking about what would happen next in the story. It is gripping, well-written, and cuts to the heart of humanity in a beautiful and painful way. The twists and turns in the story are realistic and unexpected.

Might not be for everyone but I really enjoyed it. Not a fast pace but still had regular bursts of excitement and drama. A few gasp out loud moments. A bit slow in the middle but I really enjoyed the first chunk and the plot twist at the end. Felt all wrapped up a bit quickly at the end but things were mostly tied up well.

Well written story about getting your dog back. The imagery of the nature-claimed world is immersive. A good mix of plot and character. And dogs.
