While I'm not usually one for romance books this was a fun break! Also a good look into how
influence plays into the world of higher education and how even a very high achieving and moral person can get sucked into a messy situation

I'd give this delightful slow-burn a 5 except that the sex scene (there is only one) is utterly OOC and the age gap and power dynamics (professor-student) borderline creepy. Also there are one too many "hey reader, did you catch that? Huh? Huh?" moments. But otherwise the characters are believable, hilarious and relatable, the story engaging, and the romance itself sweet.
