I like the fake dating trope, but sometimes the characters have to be annoying to make it work. In this case Olive's lack of confidence was annoying BUT the pair worked through it. I love these women in stem romances generally but this wasn't my favorite.

At the beginning of the story, I thought that Olive was stupid! However, I came to like her very much and find her relatable. The story was fun to navigate and it was like watching a rom-com movie! I found the sexual chapter way too detailed, but I appreciated having access to the inner dialogue of Olive.

A bit corny and unrealistic in the beginning but by the 50% mark I was hooked. Spicy scenes were excellent - I loved the pining and small imperfections in the scenes. Cute summer romance/ beach read!
