For the first time in my life, I got this bizarre feeling, "A movie being better than a book". I couldn't evn believe the thought. But well, Nicholas sparks, in this book, with his writing, made me believe that. If u know, what I mean.
I give 2 stars only for the movie version! Man, you need to work on.

A Walk To Remember was nothing like I thought it would be. I wholeheartedly enjoyed it, although it's not one of my favourite romances because I did not see it as a romance novel. I don't think it was so much about the romance but about how love and kindness can change people, which was written well in this book. One thing I'll say is how child-like Jamie is, I mean I know they're both teenagers, but there was an innocence and purity in Jamie that isn't really found in teenagers. I think it would have been a better story if perhaps there was no romantic love, but a platonic love between Jamie and Landon, and if Jamie was a child. I feel that makes more sense because of the was Jamie was written. I think if Jamie and Landon had connected any other way than romantically the story would have had a bigger impact on me. I did not like that they got married, that felt weird and forced and I guess it was normal in the 1950's but I didn't really love it, looking at it from a modern perspective. Still generally a great message which I like to believe to be true, so overall a nice read.

Uhh this was technically my first romance book. I think when I read romances in the future they have to be very romantic and not so kiddy because that’s it’s only plot. I’m not sure if I want to watch the movie probably not. It was nice enough though I listened to the audiobook which made it more bearable.

Love this book. I cannot help falling in love with the characters in Nicholas Sparks' books, they are just too good to be true. I have not seen the movie. I don't even wish to see the movie as this book is so beautiful and I don't want to get any other interpretation of it from its movie.

The story starts with a prologue from Landon Carter at age 57. The remainder of the story takes place when Landon Carter is a 17-year-old high school senior.
I love Landon's character, he might not be the perfect book boyfriend but he is a perfect and sorted human who learned how to love.
Jamie, as Landon said is truly an angel, she teaches us humanity, happiness, and love.

Well, all I could say is: The love story was beautiful while it lasted. I swear that Jamie and Landon’s love story would touch my heart for as long forever.

Wonderful read. I had grown up watching the movie and found out when I got older that it was based off a book. When I finally got the book I was eager to read it. The movie doesn't come near to touching the book. The book was way better. I read the book in one day. I fell in love with Landon and Jamie more and more as the book progressed.

easy read small book... and it was NOT like the movie. why does this not surprise me? haha... this was one book where the movie actually made it better. Decent book though but still wish it had more depth.
