This time my brain did compute what I was listening to but boy that didn't change much!
It's one of the most CONFUSING books I ever read/listened to and I know now that's not the narrator's fault (although the characters' voices were too similar for me) but the author's writing!
- Characters were jumping from locations to locations without any real warnings/signs. Several times I was like "Wait, are they in a different location?"
- The premise was interesting but nothing really happened. I feel like I barely learned anything about the world, the characters. I listened to other 4-hours audiobooks where more was happening.
- Where is the romance??
- This book didn't feel like a full book, like it's only a 1/3 or something.

Meh. Also had great difficulties to understand what the narrator was saying -because of his voice or the writting? Like my brain couldn't compute. Idk but that was very frustrating.

The sheer number of people in here complaining about the lack of exposition are baffling to me. One of my favorite things about TA Moore as an author is that she doesn't spell everything out for you, and instead doles out breadcrumbs that you have to follow to figure out all the worldbuilding she's done. If you want someone to spoon feed you a simple setting, you're not going to get it here. If you want to organically learn about a VERY creative, one of a kind, THANK GOD not Omegaverse world, then you're going to enjoy this book.
