This book was so good I could forgive her use of “lol” and other text slang.
I really appreciated her honesty and willingness to own up to her mistakes as well as correct them. She doesn’t shy away from discomfort and isn’t afraid to point out where she has made mistakes.

Her writing is both beautiful and funny; a very memorable combination.

3.75. Great story. Love Wu. Just didn’t quite feel like an entire book was necessary

I really enjoyed the writing style and formatting of this book. I also really liked the pictures throughout the book. It’s not the best book I’ve ever read but it’s definitely enjoyable

i love constance wu! i watched FOTB religiously because it was hilarious and because the representation meant so much to me. each essay on its own is beautiful. however, it is not written chronologically and that confused me. she also spends a lot of time talking about sex and love (which is not good or bad but i feel like the men in this memoir were featured as much or even more than herself).

overall it was very sweet and i hope she is doing better.

a few too many “inside” you just had to be there jokes but very personal and deeply touching and sometimes funny in a way that made me have so much more sympathy for constance as a person and not just parts of the public persona we see
