This is actually the first issue of batman where neither Bill Finger nor Bob kane are credited with working on any of the three stories of course forget the fake first page credits of bob kane that was just DC's way of working at that time, they made Bob kane a star and they used his name to keep selling.
first story we get the first bat submarine, and its not really fancy at all since it wasnt made by bruce wayne himself, also the story introduced me to the bends, at the beginning i was thinking what kind of fairy tale crap is this the bends and divers cant get out of water fast or they might die, i stop reading and search around and turns out its true lol, but really in stories like this you feel like maybe batman shouldn't even be involved in the case at all fighting while completely crippled like that.
Second story the Joker's winning team is just brilliant, its the only redeeming quality about this whole issue really, The Joker works like sports managers and keeps exchanging criminals from his team to suit new jobs and he succeeds in each one of them, batman is so beat he has to actually impersonate a criminal to try and get into the joker's gang, yes joker gets caught in the end but what can u do its that age of comics where villains rarely get away.
