Fast read. I probably won't reread it though. One time read for me.

Very slow going. Didn't get good until near the end.

The revelations didn't surprise me at all, though I thought how Saffron found out was a bit fortuitous and not explained at all. Mazy was kinda crazy but at the same time she looked after Saffron more than her own father. The book kept me reading, so even though things were predictable, I have to give credit where it's due.

Slow moving and pretty repetitive. The first half of the book only covers a few days and if it was a bit more concise I think it would have been a more enjoyable reading experience. Good themes though, and the usual V.C. Andrews dark human mystery vibe.
