Read the credits and thought I'd give it a go although feared it would not be for me. Reminiscent of Tom Sharpe with a plot almost as preposterous as his. However, found myself enjoying the writing, the characterisation and the humour, some of it LOL! It became a compulsive read leading me eagerly from one short chapter on to the next short chapter.
Thoroughly enjoyed it as will you. Open mind needed.

After a bunch of thrillers, I picked up this book as a bit of a pallet-cleanser and it was ridiculously entertaining. Excellent characters and incredibly funny moments, page after page. If you are looking for an easy read and some laughs, add this to your list.

"Susan checked her reflection in the smoked-glass door of the cooler and, blood aside, was pleased with what she found as she approached her sixtieth year: her complexion was still youthful, her eyes clear and her figure trim. Her hair had been grey for nearly a decade now, however, and Julie was always on at her to have it done, although the days when it would have been Julie’s ‘treat’ were now long past…"

All those women constantly checking themselves in mirrors and admiring their figure, even with a slashed finger. You know them, they are written by a man.
