I actually liked the first part of this book, describing how Michele and her husband entered the CIA and her assignments. The second portion of her book told about how she and her husband saved refugees, and really focused on her faith in God. If you are looking for a religious book about Christian faith - this would appeal to you. If you really wanted to hear about her life in the CIA, not so much.

The first half (ish) would be a solid 4 stars. But then she stopped talking about the cia and it got very heavy handed on the god and mission and such. Not that it is bad. Just not what I was reading for. If she didn’t have enough cia stuff she was allowed to talk about for a full book, don’t write the book.

Very interesting look into how one women's journey into the CIA, was just one step of an amazing journey of faith. A great message of how God can and does use every part of our lives for His glory.

When we are seeking God and trying to align ourselves with His will, we will occasionally miss the boat. We are human beings. We do this. But God doesn’t give us one chance to get it right. He will do whatever is necessary to get us back on track. -27

This book was incredible. I picked it up on a whim from the library, and read it all within one day. It started as one thing- an “inside” look at the CIA, and in the end, wowed me with Michele’s faith and overwhelming belief in God. Truly amazing.
