i really liked this as an introduction to teffi's writing, however i much preferred the more politically based stories in the latter half. i'm excited to read more of teffi in the future!

It's a collection of moments in Teffi's life which while interesting are sometimes hard to place into context. And sometimes because it's different people doing the translation it's hard to follow the style even though it is also similar
