Too many never finished plot points and didn’t ever dig deep enough for me on the themes it tried to touch on. But I kept reading because I felt like it had to get there with the next page turn.
I like the characters, and the story arc, and the different voices, and even the genetics subplot, but the execution of said subplot fell really flat to me (and made little sense to my inner and outer scientist), so I have to take a star off.
