A sweet story about an Owl and a ghost who happens upon him. The owl offers to help the Ghost who can't remember who she is or where she came from. This leads to the owl and the ghost finding a woman in the woods in need of their help.

The story was quick and to the point but the art is what really sticks out. Sara Richard has made the most beautifully illustrated story I have seen this year so far. Definitely going to go follow her Instagram now!

I received a free e-ARC for review through Edelweiss.

The story is good, the art is incredible. Like, I want art prints of every page it's so amazing. And this book is a perfect example of how art can be half of a story, and complement and enhance the meaning. Some graphic novels come off as illustrated stories, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but in this book, the art is the story. The whole thing together, being almost exclusively dialogue, has a very dreamy and ethereal feel. If I were the sort of person who said phrases like "a visual feast", I would here.

This is an amazing graphic novel, so beautifully illustrated, of an owl who helps a ghost find her home, so to speak. The owl has been helping since he himself was rescued and helped when he was an owlet.

If I say to much about this very short graphic novel, I give too much away, but look at these pages below. Look at that art. It fairly swirls around.

The only issue I have with this book is the threat to the owl, that is built up half-way through the book, either it wasn't a real threat, or there is something left out of the ending. Either way, it should be addressed.

All in all, a good, quick read, and the art is so gorgeous.

This had me in tears. So sweet. So amazing what a simple act of kindness can do. It's simplistic but I loved it for that. But I have questions. Who is Jessica to Eleanor? Who is that awful man and why did he want the house? But ultimately a very sweet short graphic novel about kindness. Loved the art and story.

I received an ARC via NetGalley.

This is already one of my Graphic Novel highlights of 2018. Gorgeous, wonderful artwork with vivid colors and a sometimes surreal feel to it. An adorable protagonist (I love owls!) and a sweet, heartwarming story. It's rather short (53 pages) but I was absolutely amazed by it. Beautiful.

The artwork is phenomenal. When a ghost appears in the swamp, a kind owl helps her discover her past. Scary sequences make this better suited for 5th grade and up.

Personally, I found this book charming and heartwarming, especially due to the Owl's strong set of beliefs. I also really enjoyed the beautiful illustrations.
