I love myself a retelling with an added twist!

I have a soft spot for Mulan and will always have one but I’ve always have thought what would happen if they stayed true to the ancient way of things and the laws and society norms they abide by. Now I know and now I want to see her spiral at the twisted betrayal from Sparrow and Tao!

I didn’t really understand the romance part of this as it was too fast for me and her stubborn nature/slow understanding but I did like the action and how things lead up to her imprisonment.

I’m on the fence of reading the second one but I really REALLY want to know how Meilin will get her revenge!!!
