I enjoyed reading this manga much more than the previous one. There were a lot less lengths. Which is logical since there was a lot less contextualization. I can't wait to see what will happen in the next book. It was really good and the action was really interesting.
J'ai beaucoup plus apprécié faire la lecture de ce manga que le précédent. Il y avait beaucoup moins de longueurs. Se qui est logique étant donné qu'il y avait beaucoup moins de mise en contexte. J'ai hâte de voir se qui va se produire dans le prochain tome. C'était vraiment bien et l'action était vraiment intéressante.

This is possibly my new favorite manga of all time. The world immediately immerses you, because it feels so real and alive. The characters are so well rounded that it's only the second book and I feel like I know them and am invested in them. Usually in mangas I take much longer to get invested and connected to characters, but not this one.
The writing and art is truly magical.

Di volume 2 ini ada penambahan karakter yang cukup menarik, terutama kekuatan sihir mereka. Apalagi bagian ending sempat bikin bingung karena twist yang sangat tidak terduga, hahaha.
Worth to continue, karena world buildingnya keren. Serta, tensi cerita sudah mulai meningkat.

Well, I am still unsure about this series. Reading this volume, especially the first 50 pages or so I was so sure I would just dump the series and maybe watch the anime on Netflix just to support French creators. But then chapter 11 happened and even though it's not the most original and well-developed piece of backstory I've ever read, I bought it. Like I'm not 100% invested but at least I'm around 20% now. Grim's character will definitely be a hit or a miss for me, I like that kind of archetype but I feel like the author is really on a Fairy Tail-like dynamic with this series (which, no hate, I mean I disliked Fairy Tail but I mean it's obviously working for him) and I'm afraid his character will just remain a gimmick rather than a fully fleshed-out individual.
The writing and the dialogue are very childish, and it is not to throw shade at anyone, I'm clearly not the target audience for this series. The humor revolved a lot around like poop jokes and spellings error and like stupid misunderstandings, which is fine if you're into that sort of thing, it just wasn't for me and it was just overwhelmingly repetitive.
The characters (well, mostly Seth) got a bit more fleshed out, but that really are trope-y archetypes but Dragunov, Torque, and Grim are I believe the ones that'll make me love or hate the story.
Now, let's address the main thing that bothered me reading this volume and it's the islamophobia. Like, I get that it is addressed (kinda poorly) in the story as being bad and the racist character is clearly portrayed as bad (and frankly stupid) but I just don't see the point of the hatred centered on brown immigrants and especially Muslims in the story? I mean the world of Radiant is not our world, why are the same people screwed over? Why are white people are in power in the fictional story too? Like I am not throwing any shade at Tony Valente but just this manga made me go "Oh, yeah, this author is painfully French".
Also, homophobic jokes ain't cute.
Overall, I think I'll give this series one more chance to impress me with the next volume. I don't know if I'm going to watch the anime if the 3rd volume disappoints me.

Je ne sais pas encore trop quoi penser de la série. Je me suis fait chier durant les 50 premières pages et j'étais à deux doigts de juste arrêter et regarder l'anime à la place (parce qu'il faut supporter les créateurs français). Mais après du coup j'ai lu le chapitre 11 et même s'il n'a rien de révolutionnaire, j'ai mordu à l'hameçon. Je ne suis pas encore complètement émotionnellement investie dans aucun personnage. Disons franchement que je suis à genre 20% d'intérêt pour eux. Grim a l'air stylé, mais ça passe ou ça casse. J'aime bien les personnages comme lui mais Radiant me donne des vibes à la Fairy Tail (et... yikes) et j'ai peur qu'il reste juste une sorte de gimmick qu'un personnage développé.
Les dialogues... disons que le manga est clairement écrit et pensé pour les jeunes enfants et j'aime bien les blagues pipi-caca et les blagues sur le français mais quand c'est répété encore et encore... pas trop fan.
Seth est un peu plus intéressant à mes yeux mais j'attends surtout beaucoup de Torque, Grim et Dragunov.
Bon, maintenant de ce qui m'a énormément agacée en lisant ce tome : l'islamophobie. Genre, je comprends le but de certaines et scènes et l'auteur fait attention d'antagoniser les personnages qui perpétuent cette islamophobie (même si les personnages principaux ne sont pas très passionnés par le sujet mais bref), je ne comprends pas il faut encore taper sur les maghrébins, et les immigrés "basanés" ainsi que les femmes portant le voile. Le monde de Radiant est un monde magique et fantastique sans aucun rapport avec notre mon et notre culture et pourtant ce sont toujours les même qui sont stigmatisés et pointés du doigt. Et je n'ai rien contre Tony Valente et ça ne veut pas dire que je pense qu'il soit raciste mais juste en lisant ce tome je me disais "bon, sang, ça se voit que cet auteur est français et qu'il est blanc". Je ne sais pas si vous voyez ce que je veux dire?
Aussi, les blagues homophobes... peut mieux faire Tony Valente, peut mieux faire.
En résumé, je suis encore franchement mitigée. J'ai encore le tome 3 en réserve, et si je n'adhère toujours pas à l'histoire, soit j'abandonne tout, soit je me mets à juste regarder l'anime.

Con bastante buen paso y desarrollo de serie shônen llegamos a este segundo tomo de Radiant. En esta entrega Seth esta empezando a dominar sus poderes gracias a los entrenamientos del maestro Yaga. Así conocemos un poco más a fondo el sistema de magia llamado Fantasía. Tenemos la típica formación simpática de equipo y como no, su primera misión juntos. Seth, Doc y Melie irán a Rumble Town, uno de los últimos reductos de la era industrial con la misión de capturar a un némesis vivo.
Este segundo arco presenta para el lector nuevos personajes (tanto enemigos como aliados) repletos de carisma, y un punto tanto de critica social y racial inesperada. conquista con su humor, la aventura de ritmo vertiginoso y un dibujo detallado al extremo. Pese a ello, tiene para mi una pequeña pega: haya paginas con demasiado texto que a veces ensucian tanto el ritmo narrativo como la lectura. No es algo acusado, pero significativo. El resto del tomo respeta cada uno de los ingredientes de un buen shônen, manteniendo el interés constante.

This volume laid more foundation and world-building and introduced a mysterious character. I'm digging Grim's design. AND, OF COURSE, Seth’s got a hidden brother. Never change, shounen. Also, we get to see how Naruto-lite is progressing and more prejudice against wizards. I feel like this volume is one where you have to eat your vegetables before the good stuff. There is more gross-out humor (vomit, pee, dirty, old dudes groping women) than before but whatever.
