Vampires! I loved this, another King down now just over 10 million to go... I'm comfortable with the fact that this may take me a lifetime :)

The is one of those books that show just how good Stephen King can be. Salem’s Lot has the perfect mix of character moments, tense plot moments, and the famous King craziness that he’s known for.

This story really lets you get to know the characters so well, and I definitely appreciate that. It makes the suspenseful moments feel that much more intense, and I love it!

I really enjoyed this book! If you like character driven suspenseful books or horror books, and you haven’t read this, go read it now!

Absolutely adore this book. The way Stephen built the town of 'Salems Lot and gave his characters life really draws you in and makes you feel like you know these people. Know this town. l've seen some people knock it for having so many characters and being too focused on the town but that was a major plus for me. Even just having pages dedicated to a random member of the town felt necessary. It highlights how the evil they're facing in their town is so insidious. And another thing, ! feel like knowing what the "evil" is takes away some of the suspense. I do find myself wishing I had the chance to go into this one blind but, like, this is Stephen Kings second novel after all. Its KNOWN as his [spoiler] book s00000. Anyway, bit of a slow burn but if you let these characters, this motley crew of a scooby gang, into your heart you'll find yourself feeling like you are one of them. Definitely a top ten book for me.

LOVED this!! This book was truly hard to put down!! I mean, true there are a lot of characters to keep up with, but I loved it all!! The film did no justice, and I was a fan of it! King's books used to be a hit or miss for me when I started reading, but damn, I think I am going to have read them all now!!
