The story is an easy read with likeable characters despite the hard truths behind what is occurring, the plaque. The underlying discussions of what it is to be human, and religion in general is done well. The same conversations are repeated throughout the book, but new information typically comes from them. I really enjoyed the complexity of the character, Pestilence.
Overall enjoyable dark romance about the end of the world.

When I first started reading, I didn’t think I was going to enjoy or finish it. However, I hit a point where it started to pull me in and I’m so glad it did. I loved the humor in the book and the characters were entertaining. I would definitely recommend reading! 

At the beginning of the book, I knew eventually Sara would have to end up with him. Although, while reading I just kept thinking, “how is she going to love him after doing this to her?” but when it hit the point that he put her on his horse and let her ride with him, I knew he was gone for her and that was how it started.
