i literally cannot think of a time when i didnt cry during reading this book. i spent so much time with these characters that i feel so personally connected to them and i think sjm has a real talent for creating characters and stories that stick with you for the rest of your life. i think this is probably her best series to date and aelin ashryver whitethorn galathynius is her best female mc and also my favorite female character ever written in the fantasy genre.

Took me awhile to get through this one. It was very good, so I wonder if it was my subconscious just not wanting the series to end.
