So cute! A fun read/listen with a great group of characters!! Mrs. Clapper is a hoot! I loved all the kids: they were both surprising and flat out funny! Definitely recommend.

Loved. It. Soft and gentle and passionate and sweet and wholesome and adorable. Absolutely great. Will read again and recommend to all of my friends!

The overall message I got from this book is to treat everyone equally. Do not demonise those who are different. Love freely and appreciate everyone for who they are inside, not what you expect them to be based on small-minded judgements and stereotypes. Question these stereotypes when you come across them. Make your worldview based on true experiences, not what large corporations and industries tell you.

Also, the fact that being gay is literally not a big deal at all Every single relationship in this book is gay. And it's normal. The relationships are representative. Some are healthy and loving (Arthur and Linus), and some are not (Charles and Arthur). Some are questionable (the neighbour's nephew is getting married in a month), and some are wholesome (Helen and Zoe). But it's accepted. And the children are so happy. The fact that they have a team of two moms or two dads doesn't affect them. They have been saved from abusive households after abusive households, and what matters is the love that their parents can show them, not the gender of the parents.

ALSO? Every single character is so inherently loveable. Couldn't ask for more.

I honestly don't know what to rate this book. It was super slow and I felt like nothing happened, but also everything happened 😂. It took a lot of motivation to want to read the whole book, but it was very inspiring and I'll think about the book for a long time. It really makes me want to move to the ocean even more!

A bit of exposition at the top that took a bit to get through but it was worth it for the rest of the book. I loved it.

I can’t with this bloody book!!!

Linus’ growth, Arthur’s patience, THE KIDS, Helen, Zoe... this is my new favorite book. End of effing story.

Read it. Everyone.
