Look, when I saw this book while browsing an online book store; I immediately knew I wanted to read it. After discovering this one would be in the Afterlight Illimicrate box... I mean... The blue cover is even ten times prettier than the yellow one.

So yes, I was looking forward to reading this one. A bit scared, because who knew: maybe it wasn't my cup of tea. Luckily it was! For real, this one is amazing. I really loved the plot from the beginning until the end. Somehow it managed to keep me entertaint without being boring or way too cliché.
The main characters are very different from each other, but somehow they kind of are the same. Which makes them amazing as leading roles for this story.
Only the setting could have been a little more interesting. I sometimes missed some more information about the common areas. And also: the ending/flashforward felt very rushed. As if a second book is needed, but this series contains different characters in every book so...

Tara is an influencer and she wanted to embark on a journey where she reconnects with her 10 exes to have a date on a gala. She is a little high maintenance who knows what she likes.

Trevor is the roommate of Tara who has a girl in his bed almost every day and he helps Tara in trying to reconnect with her exes. He is afraid of losing more people in his life.

They experience the little things together: watching the bachelor, hot tubs, Tara’s random questions, Trevor’s niece Angie who has a heart illness, Tara planning for Angie’s birthday party.

Trevor’s love declaration is so cute, I love this story so much and it was perfect for an audiobook

First, I liked this one better than Set On You. Tara was a little more my speed. Not generally a room-mance trope lover, but this one worked because it wasn't BAM SEXUAL TENSION from the start. (Even in spite of their "bare all" first meet.)

Second, holy Trevor. If Amy Lea did anything right, it was making me lust after Trevor Metcalfe. Whether it be the tattoos, the brooding looks, or the muscles, Trevor had it going on. I think this passage sums it up nicely: "a mildly less tortured, darker-haired version of the lead Sons of Anarchy outlaw biker, ready to whisk you away for a life of crime on his Harley-Davidson."

I loved the subtle growth between Tara and Trevor. And I loved the behind-closed-doors development. Nothing worse than overdone intimate scenes... you can only write about someone's throbbing member so many times before it gets older than old.

Cute and tasteful.
