This was a re-read for me as I'm working through the 100 best books by Women Authors list (see my reading challenge) it was just as engaging as I remember. Eleanor is such a loveable character.

I don't know what exactly it was, but I loved this! I have not been this engrossed in a book in months! This past year has not been a good reading year, but I literally could not put this down. I honestly wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did and thought it might be a little boring, so I put off reading it for years. I loved the characters and felt so many different emotions when reading this. This has quickly become one of my all-time favourite books!
