Really loved this. I read this voraciously during the last 2 days I had in Croatia. Swimming in the Dark is a lustful and hopeful kind of anti-love story set in the decline of socialism in 1980s Poland. Felt like I gained a greater understanding of life under Eastern European socialism through Ludowic’s experience of homosexuality.
