Fatphobia took me out of it. Writing was incredibly dense and it felt gross to read. Plus, the structure of the book made it more difficult to read physically.

So this is a collection of small life essays of some guy called Max Tucker who is supposedly funny, however as far as I can tell these stories would probably only really appeal to frat boys who think getting drunk and partying hard is...well funny.

Max Tucker is as much a whore as the women he describes in this book and they are many, in fact most of his adventures involve him getting drunk, sleeping with some woman or women, getting drunk, mentioning he is a Duke law student, hooking up with some random woman/women...rinse and repeat. While some of these situations are shocking and make me wonder the calibre of people he associates with, not one drew a chuckle from me.

I simply don’t find the idea of him getting drunk and doing stupid things while drunk funny, then again that’s not my type of people so this book is wrong for me from the get go.
