Man, I love The Darkling.
I read this short story back in 2018 when I was very first getting into the Grishaverse, but reading it now in graphic novel form proves it was meant to be in a visual medium like this.
Even if I knew what was going to happen, each turn and reveal still hit extremely hard, harder than they hit when I first read this story. I blazed through this quickly - probably too quickly - but it was wonderfully bold and memorable nonetheless.
I'm always happy to get whatever tidbits of Grisha that I can, even if it's a story I've already experienced! I can't wait for another season of the television show and the sequel to Ninth House, and, even moreso, I can't wait to see if Leigh decides to write another Six of Crows entry as she implied she would at the end of Rule of Wolves. I suppose time will tell!
