I'm not sure reading this while playing Fallout is the best idea as I couldn't keep everything straight.
I liked the first two thirds better than the last third and the ending was very abrupt, almost a plea to buy the next in the series. The love triangle was just weird, while one world was not as finely drawn as another.
Next book in the series? Maybe, if I come across it in the library.

I got into the book fairly quickly. It was clear that the book is aimed at young adults/teenagers, but I still enjoyed reading it.
I saw Deuce as a very driven girl who had clear ideas about what she wanted and a clear sense of right and wrong, even when this conflicts with what other people think. I think it would have been nice to have a bit more focus on Fade and delving a bit deeper into his background, as this is only touched on.
The ending was satisfying enough, given that there are two more books in the series. I’ve read the other two books and the author goes into a bit more detail about how the ‘Freaks’ are changing.
In the end I thought that this book was a very easy read. The story kind of went where you thought it would.

Snooze for the first third, a bit cringey for the middle third (yes, we get it, young men in dystopian societies don't treat women very well), and sort of interesting at the end. But not interesting enough for me to go in search of the next in the series.
FYI, authors: if your world-building isn't very interesting, CUT IT OUT.

I thought Enclave was pretty good. Unlike a lot of other YA dystopias, there was no angst or superficiality.
I particularly liked Fade, but I wasn't a big fan of the main character, Deuce. Maybe part of that was because of her name... it doesn't seem like a girl's name, for one thing, and for another, 'deuce' is slang for poop where I came from.
Needless to say, thinking about fecal matter whenever the protagonist is mentioned tends to put a damper on the story. If anyone can please shed some light on the actual meaning of the name, that might change my mind a bit. As it is, I can't think of any deeper meaning to the name. A very unfortunate moniker, in my opinion.
The storyline itself was alright, albeit predictable. I thought that the author could have gone into more depth regarding life in the enclave itself, the rebel faction within it, and the corruption in the governing system.

I honestly think I missed my window I am normally all for YA and Dystopian but I just could not put any effort into listening to this
