The meaning behind the hairpins is so funny, especially when Maomao explains her reasoning to Jinshi. I'm impressed by the way Maomao charts her life, her experiences, her words. These books hold a lot of depth and the plot thickens more and more.

Another great volume! I loved getting to see

Maomao go home and interact with her guardian, the brothels, and friends of hers

. I also adored the depictions of

Jinshi reacting to Maomao's homecoming

; it was just as funny in the manga as it was in the anime! I love seeing their relationship develop and grow. Definitely one of my favorite chunks of the story. Can't wait for the next volume!
