I really enjoyed this book. It's the middle of a trilogy, but felt like it was engaging plot development and not filler like many middle books tend to be. I love the slow burn romance that is being developed between main characters reminiscent of Katniss and Peeta in the Hunger Games series. But the focus is the mission and I love that the growing feelings between characters doesn't interfere with that at all. Excellent high fantasy elements and magic system. I feel immersed in the world everytime I pick up to keep reading.
