This series is hard for me. I find myself really interested for little bursts, and then I get bored and zone out and stop caring again.
I like all of the characters well enough. But I'm not invested, I'm not in love, and to be quite honest, they're all pretty cookie-cutter, bland, and boring characters.
Nothing really happens in this book. It's extremely slow and extremely dense, considering nothing really happens in this book. I really hate when an author takes two to three really big events and makes the waiting in between the majority of the book.
I'm bored. I don't care anymore. I like the plot, I want more plot and less blah blah.
Side note though, I just need to mention how great Aveyard is at making you love the bad guys. Corayne? Boring. Erida? One of the only reasons I keep reading this series.

I really enjoyed the second installment of this series! It was just as well-written and adventurous as the first, but with the added advantage of already having been introduced to the large cast of characters and incredibly detailed fantasy setting, so the story was much easier to follow. The way that the author develops such a wide cast of characters, villains included, is impressive. I’m excited to read the next book!

Ceritanya agak lambat, perjalanannya jauh sih soalnya. Terus banyak perangnya juga gara-gara si Erida. Tapi seru sih, mereka harus nyari sekutu dulu soalnya yang dilawan pasukan mayat hidup bukan manusia. Di tengah-tengah juga kirain ada penghianatan gitu, plot twist banget. Akhirnya juga sebel, kita lihat aja di buku ketiganya.
