Sad cause I remember being pleasantly surprised by book 1, but I just didn't care about anything that was happening.

Super slow moving, and not giving me enough from the characters to help fill the plot void. I don't think it helps I read Realm Breaker over 2 years ago, but I remember being a lot more drawn in by the story and the pieces coming together.

Gosh I love this book; the characters, the plot, the conflict? This book (and the previous one) are everything you could want in a fantasy trilogy. I’m so happy I read it now so I only have to wait a little bit for the conclusion to release!

As much as I love a good plot and amazing world building (other than loving miss Aveyard), because of the million and one POVs that we find in this book I’ve found it really difficult to care about the characters, especially about Corayne who supposedly is the main character, other than that I don’t care about her relationship with Andry, maybe because we have seen so little of it but I don’t know.
However I’m in love with Erida as a villain and her relationship with Taristan, I also do love sorasa and Dom and I find them way more interesting than the mc which is weird I guess. I’m still hoping for a bigger plot twist like a betrayal or a death but in Victoria Aveyard we trust so I’m not really worried about that.

As a Lord of the Rings fan I get completely absorbed by this story. The second book was just as good as the first! Now I have to wait for the next in the series :/

The first book was more engaging, even if it seemed like a really long prologue.

This just didn't quite deliver but I didn't hate it.

I still adore Sorasa Sarn!
