As per usual, I enjoyed this book in The Expanse series. I found this book to be right on point for the usual plot line for Holden and his crew. I actually enjoyed the pace of this book too where with the previous books, I often found myself get in a lull. It could have been for the absolute entertaining villain in this book, Murtry, who was referred to as "...a flaming asshole" and most definitely was one. The only thing I am going to nitpick in this book are the spelling errors I ran across (Felcia vs Felica, and also oncocidals vs onococidals) and the ending wrapped up just a little too quickly for my liking. Overall 4.5/5 but rounded up.

I think I struggled to remain engaged with this one ๐
It's not that it's a bad story. It was interesting in parts, but it felt like a big "fuck you" to Holden that he was put in this no-win position against an absolute fuck-knuckle blowhard hired-muscle dickwad.
And the epilogue confirmed that was the case! Like ... What?! Deliberate sabotage from the beginning. Wasn't meant to succeed. Fuck off.
In the end, I'm giving this one 3 out of 5 stars. It was frustrating. The planet was more interesting than what was being put upon Holden and the crew, but we're not actually here to explore that, I guess?
