This was cute. It was like a spicy full house episode. I really enjoyed the banter and found myself giggling quite a lot. I also grew to love the MMC. And mega brownie points for the FMC being plus sized.

This is my first 5 star of 2024!
This book starts off with a hilarious encounter between Beckett and Liv and it sets the tone for the rest of the novel. I could not hold back my laughter and was hooked from the very beginning. There was laughter, there were tears, and then there were raccoons…. (you'll just have to read the book, to get the joke

I have seen and heard so much about this series and I don't know why I put it off so long, this was such a fun read. Many times I had to set the book down and just laugh because it had my truly crying laughing from the chaos of the kids, their relationship, and embarrassment that Beckett was willing to put himself into for his family. My favorite aspect of this was that our FMC was not forced to choose between her found family and love. She didn't have to give up something to get everything she wanted and deserved. Also I will never look at raccoons the same again haha

The book is great.
The banter, the vibes, the pacing, are amazing.
The story revolves on Beckett and Liv's relationship and how Beckett's been in love with her for over 10 years and she's a recently divorced mom with 3 kids that didn't know her boss is in love with her.
Liv's character is a curvy mom who loves her curves but from time to time, she still feels insecure about her. She never stops expressing how she's not someone Beckett would want/like. This resulted in her not figuring out just how much Beckett loves her. Her overthinking tendencies leading to not understanding Beckett's insisting just how much he loves her.
Beckett's character is an asshole who only have love in his eyes for her and apparently her kids.
I love how Beckett is insistent on showing Liv just how much he loves her and her kids, and does everything for them.
Liv lives with her 3 best friends who are all moms--Delia, Dylan, and Shayla--and their total of 7 kids.
The things I find a little bit annoying though understandable, is Delia's utmost hatred for Beckett because "he's a man". Honey, I know men have hurt you but can't you see how happy Liv is with him? I know you want what's best for your friend, but look at Dylan and Shayla, they're being wary yet supportive.
Dylan, I love your happy-go-lucky way of living. Yes, the universe is with you!\
Shayla, I hope you find someone who will love you just as much as your late husband loves you and how much you love your son and him.
