what a way to start the year.

this is THE rom com to even rom com and im sad to have read it only because 1. now it's finished and 2. nothing will ever compare I don't think

THE CHARACTERS????? THE RESPRESENTATION???? THE JOKES??????? THE VIBES??? IMMACULATE

HOW DOES A BOOK HAVE SO MANY AMAZING CHARACTERS AND MAKE ME FEEL BAD FOR MEGAN AND FUCKING RYAN OF ALL PEOPLE??????

it's been two hours and it has just hit me that it's over and now i have no clue what to do with my life and i am in fact sobbing

i personally believe that charlie and dev are the only ones ever and i am going to eat them.

ALSO as someone who has had the ability to look into the production of reality tv THE TOPIC WAS SO WELL HANDLED STFU LIKE I WAS IMPRESSED AND IT ALL FELT SO REAL

yeah SO WHAT if the ending was a little bit unrealistic IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE A HAPPILY EVER AFTER I DO NOT CARE.

as something of a critical bitch myself it is hard for me to find any flaw in this book and as i said i don't think anything will compare and now i have a little hole in my heart that's charlie and dev shaped

Finished “The Charm Offensive” at the very start of the year and… omg I understand why this has been recommended to me as much as it has. 💖 “Charm” is the perfect word for this story. I loved Dev and Charlie so much. I loved their journey. I loved how this book talked about their mental illnesses. I just loved it.

If you're even the tiniest bit a fan of reality tv or dating shows (especially ABC's "The Bachelor") there's no reason to not enjoy this. These characters really pulled at my heartstrings and made me wish I too got to watch their love story unfold.

⭐️ Loved starting my year off with a five star read. This is a go to recommendation for a reason.

I really enjoyed this novel! Once you get over how cringey romantic reality TV is, the book is wonderful! I especially appreciated the ace-spectrum representation.

It was really fun and low stakes! I took off half a star because the language characters used caught me off guard a few times (too clinical) but overall it was really fun
