I loved the vibe of the book I did kinda burn out toward the end but we powered through. My favorite scene is when they’re in the Vahalla club together and inattentively fall in love with each other. I didn’t like how she wouldn’t move in with him at the end, like I understand why but I still just wish she sucked it up. Hands together for Edward and Greta for carrying the book🙌🏻.

King of Wrath- 2.5⭐️3.5🌶️

She’s the wife he never wanted . . . and the weakness he never saw coming.

Ruthless. Meticulous. Arrogant. Dante Russo thrives on control, both personally and professionally.

The billionaire CEO never planned to marry – until the threat of blackmail forces him into an engagement with a woman he barely knows: Vivian Lau, jewellery heiress and daughter of his newest enemy. It doesn’t matter how beautiful or charming she is. He’ll do everything in his power to destroy the evidence and their betrothal.

There’s only one problem: now that he has her . . . he can’t bring himself to let her go.
***
Elegant. Ambitious. Well-mannered. Vivian Lau is the perfect daughter and her family’s ticket into the highest echelons of high society.

Marrying a blue-blooded Russo means opening doors that would otherwise remain closed to her new-money family. While the rude, elusive Dante isn’t her idea of a dream partner, she agrees to their arranged marriage out of duty. Craving his touch was never part of the plan.

Neither was the worst thing she could possibly do: fall in love with her future husband.

✨My Opinion✨

This is a Bloom Books publication release. I have not read any of the Kings of Sin or  Twisted series.

Dual POV
Arranged marriage
Forced proximity
fake fiancé
dislike to lovers
billionaire romance
Miscommunication

It was a little too heavy on the grumpy with the grumpy/sunshine for me. But it was a fun read. Not the most amazing, but not absolutely terrible.

The MMC has a decent backstory, but didn’t see it played out quite as well as it could have been. I never quite understood what he did for a living or how it was important or how it gave him access to beat people in police holding cells…

The FMC was a little lacking in much other than family loyalty and her friends. She lacked the sparkle that explained how she brought the MMC out of his shell other than proximity…

There were a few moments of good tension. Things were great in the beginning… but it tapered off and didn’t retain its intensity through each relationship development.

*Thank you Bloom Books and NetGalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

It’s nothing new, but sometimes the same old is refreshing. You know what’s going to happen, you know they eventually run off into the sunset. What makes Ana Huang’s tales so different is the examination of family structures within Asian cultures. The examination is not in depth and does not take away from the plot, but it acts as a starting point for reflective ideas and further learning.

Sooooooo good. Vivian and Dante are in an arranged marriage. Vivian is trying to make the most of it, but Dante is very shut off and cold.

Dante turns into such a cutie and wants to just worship Vivian. He respects her ambition and how she stands up for herself. Dante is getting revenge on her father for blackmailing him though.

Everything falls apart, but Dante fights to get her back. Mad groveling. It’s amazing.

Plus cameos from the Twisted series!!!!!!!

I really liked it! The female protagonist is absolutely amazing and the smut is close to excellent. The plot lacked a bit towards the end, but I can‘t quite put my finger on it, and at times I had problems envisioning the characters by the descriptions alone. I definitely enjoyed reading this book though and since I had a look at the list of books Ana Huang wrote and saw, that the Kings of Sin series is made of interconnected standalones, I couldn‘t help but look for clues who the next couple might be. My guess was right and now I can‘t wait to read about Kai and Isabella!!

Updated rankings... (changed my mind on a few things.

1. Bridget/Rhys
2. Jules/Josh
3. Alex/Ava
4. Vivian/Dante
5. Stella/Christian

Vivian and Dante seemed really similar to Ava/Alex, with family betrayl and what not. Still liked their banter, which is why their better than Stella/Christian. But the spicy scenes were a little stale, hence 4th place. Funny, loved Vivian's sass. Can't wait for Isabella/Kai.
