Colette’s writing is great as usual, although sometimes weird due to the way people talked back then and stuff. But gosh.... the relationship between Claudine and Renaud is fucked up. The way they outwardly talk about her being his wife but also like a daughter to him is incredibly disgusting and weird. I need to re-read about Colette and Willy’s partnership on the writing to determine what’s her writing and what’s his but yeah that part grosses me the fuck out.
