Another beautifully illustrated fanciful tale by the Fan brothers! I love their work!

Think Edward Scissorhands meets picture book. Grimloch lane is as grim as it sounds until a mysterious gardener brings joy to the neighborhood in the form of playful topiary structures. A lucky young boy finds himself an apprentice to the man and is left with a gift that changes his life.

I loved being in this world while I read the story. This would be a great read aloud and also a great book to give as gift. I hope these creators are fast at work on their next book!

Graphite illustrations colored digitially. PreK-2.

Beautiful, easy-to-read storybook! This is a wonderful way to help children explore their sense of wonder and to validate their own creativity.

This is one of the most beautifully illustrated books I have ever read. The pictures complemented the story so well. It is such a shame this can't win the Caldecott because it absolutely deserves it.

Een heel mooi boek over een gebeurtenis die het hele dorp van Wilgendam zal veranderen. Met prachtige tekeningen waar je vele details in kan vinden. Het einde was ook heel mooi. Zeker een aanrader!
