The images by the Fan Brothers in both The Darkest Dark and this book are beautiful. I love the use of colour (or lack of it) in the book as well - so clever! I wasn't sure if this would capture the imagination of some students in the way other books had, but I was pleasantly surprised. This provided some great discussion afterwards as well.
