I saw the movie a long time ago and as many, I automatically loved this romance story, deeply. Reading the book now after so many years, was such a nice experience. I will definitely always remember Noa and Allie's story it stayed in my heart, my little corny romance girlie heart

A story about true love. If you get emotional when you read, have the tissues ready. I was not prepared and was caught off guard in the middle of an airport.

A friend of mine recommended this book to me. I think her quote was "has one of the best sex scenes ever in it!" What a phenomenal book! I didn't enjoy the movie nearly as much as I thought I would, but the book was filled with the best love story. A modern day Romeo and Juliet with scenes of such happiness and yet heartbreak.

Simple. Corny. The writing wasn’t even good enough to connect with the characters. The only reason I gave it to stars is because the story is semi-interesting. Obviously we all knew what was going to happen from the movie, but the movie definitely out does this book.

I know some people are really into this type of writing. I have never had the urge to pick up a Nicholas Sparks book, but I needed to test it out because everyone loves it so much. If it weren’t for the American great read I would never have tried this book. This just reaffirms that I am not into this genre.

Just. Wow :) Even though I cried for like the last 50 pages, this was an amazing book. Nicholas Sparks is an amazing writer and is very talented. He knows exactly what buttons to push to get you crying and I hope that in real life he's as romantic as in his books. If so, his wife is one lucky woman :)

I had no idea it was that kind of book. I literally had to fast forward. I have never found it necessary to describe the details of sex unless you are trying to be pornographic for masturbatory material. I was disgusted. Loved the movie but would not recommend the book.
