Why is Milly okay with dating Jonah as soon as she learns they aren't actually related? Why do they both have the classic love interest reaction upon meeting one another, when she was not aware of this and he knew that he would have to pretend to be her cousin?

Why was there a romance at all? It took away from the rest of the story, and made me very uncomfortable.

Definitely slower paced then other Karen McManus books still full of plot twists that are interesting. Worth the read still.

loved this book and its clever plot twists!! I really liked the fact that it was structured with multiple POVs from each of the characters. I would recommend this to teenagers (11-15 ish) who enjoy relatively lighthearted and funny crime-mystery fiction. :)

(1st read of 2022!)
