I like Zoe Foster Blake! I like Go-To skincare. I get that this book was a rehashing of the woman-in-business story, revealing that there are high highs and low lows. But the actual storytelling aspect? Too many time jumps, too many one-note characters, too many pages of exposition without giving me any reason to care or feel the stakes.

A low rating only because it did not hold my interest at all. A very business related story and corporate jargon that went over my head but for a person who owns or works in a business like this I can see how it would be appealing! Still, well written and with interesting characters

I would give this 3.5. A little too heavy on the business jargon for my taste (but I acknowledge that that is the point of the book). It was otherwise entertaining - a good option for a holiday book
