another phenomenal book in the series, although this one was little harder to get through than the others (still very enjoyable). maybe it was because of the length or that it’s was the 4th book so it seemed like the story just kept on stretching on, but it was a slower read for me. the lucifer twist at the end is definitely something to look forward to in the upcoming book. the lines between evil and good blurred within fortuna which made the story very exciting to read but also nerve wracking as i never knew if she would make the right decision. still live for her character though, and i wish that oliver had played more of a role in this book (still secretly hoping he will come to life in the next), although i have a theory that the ‘person that can be reached in fortunas dreams’ is oliver and he is a traitor. hopefully not but i guess we will see. ok done with this series for now, and absolutely loved it.

Listennn, it’s Laurie or a throuple. Pick one Fortuna bc those are the only two options bbg!!!

I’m not sure what has happened to me but I actually ship Collith and Fortuna now?
Like I love Laurie and I would snatch him up in a heartbeat. But I love Laurie and Fortuna’s dynamic as best friends more than as lovers. I am very glad we got to see them try though. The Laurie sex scenes were definitely more enjoyable to read than the ones with Collith in the previous books. But I just don’t see them as endgame romance, especially considering his goodbye in this book. He can’t have his throne and Fortuna, and I think he needs his throne more.
I wouldn’t say no to throuple though. Collith and Laurie definitely got on well in this one which was so nice to see. I love their back and forth with each other, you can tell the feelings are still there on both sides. It’s hard to tell Laurie’s feelings though. Who/what he loves most out of his throne, Collith, Fortuna I don’t really know.
As for where the story is going…. Looks like Fortuna is going into hell. That’s going to be painful for Collith to deal with if he goes to save her, given his experience there not too long ago. Then again, Laurie did say that he would always come for her. So we will have to see.
