Read this series in high school and doing a reread for the spin off series they did and it’s like reading it all over again for the first time and it’s still just as amazing.

I love the Imprinting vibes. It's more about the different types there are. Kalona and the Raven Mockers are probably more than meets the eye. The dream thing is weird. I loved how Cherokee history fits into the vampire thing, kinda like Twilight but there's a weird love story there. Kalona seems hung up on that, which I thonk is his problem. Neferet is....something else.

This has to be the worst romantic plot in any book I’ve ever read.

Here’s this guy that’s raping and eaten other fledglings and he can’t help himself cause it’s “his nature”

Zoey: I can fix him. Im going to do that by cheating on my two boyfriends and violating my own boundaries, otherwise I might cause him to lose his humanity.

This book certainly had some problems, such as the repetition, some typos, etc. but it was still interesting. It was a lot like the second book where I feel like it was just a bridge between two interesting books filled with stuff they just had to get in there before we get to the real action. Let's hope that's true! I'll be picking up the next book as soon as it comes out. I'm interested to see a real fight between the kids and Neferet/Kalona.

Way too many misprints of names for this to earn more than one star if I’m being honest. The series is great for a casual read not to be taken too seriously. But it’s gotta be taken seriously enough through the edits to have the right names used. Darius instead of Damien, Erik instead of Heath, Stevie Rae instead of Zoey?? I mean come on guys.
