Early medieval tale of the clash between the indigenous ancient Celts and rising Christianity, told through the life of Merlin's forgotten sister, Langoureth. A bit of characters acting in unbelievable ways in service to moving the plot along but, in balance, I liked it.

 Powerful and well written. This is a fascinating story. It was so difficult to read. There is so much tragedy in this story I had to take a break from it and read something happy several time. I’m glad I read ir but it was heavy
