This started slow, but by the halfway mark I was totally hooked and couldn't stop reading.
I enjoyed the twists and turns the story took, and that the romance was somewhat minor to the plot.

I enjoyed this book a lot initially after listening to it as an audiobook. I found this format very helpful in immersing myself into the characters. Winifred was an interesting character from the beginning and I grew to love Mr. Quincy as she did in the story. Some parts of the story were really dark and the different subjects explored were taken seriously. This was a fun read despite the dark tone.

slow start strong finish. I desperately need the next one.

Could I mark it down for how many time we hear about his wine-red eyes and the rat tail? Sure and I thought I would but Olivia and this world have me in a chokehold and the last 100 pages are just everything.

Note: this is much darker than her other books, and also is not a stand alone!
